Although the Western Cape is home to a variety of top-tier Wine Estates and amazing Wine Routes, a cool and captivating wine bar scene has been sweeping the city. Offering local and international wine lovers something unique to enjoy on their trip to the Mother City. And one of our favourite wine bars and tasting experiences is definitely Frogitt and Vonkel! While Frogitt and Vonkel might be the new kid on the wine bar block, only opening their doors in 2018, it certainly didn’t take long to establish themselves as one of the most sought-after inner-city wine tasting experiences. Situated in a 220-year-old heritage building in the bustling Bree Street, Frogitt and Vonkel feature a carefully curated list of over 30 wines. Which includes top-selling local South African wines as well as an exciting variety of imported wines. All of which can be enjoyed by the bottle or glass. Their vibrant, welcoming and laid-back atmosphere makes it the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy a really good bottle of wine with friend and family.
