Tickets can be purchased using any major credit card and you will receive instant confirmation upon booking. Cash and/or walk-up traffic the day of the tours are not accepted.

Yes! While our tours are offered daily in English, we also offer tours in Afrikaans by request. Please contact our team for more details.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accomodate dietary restrictions not requested in advance. Should you have any food allergies and/or aversions, please let us know when booking your tickets and our team will do their best to accommodate you. Please note that while we will do our best to accomodate your needs, we cannot guarantee that any tasting is free of allergens and as such, we ask that you use your own discresion as it suites your particular sensitivity.

We are happy to exchange your tour tickets for another date as long as we receive a minimum 48 hours notice. After this point date changes are not possible as our partners have already begun preparing for your arrival.

We understand that plans can change. Thus, we offer a 100% refund up to 14 days before your tour date, minus any credit card processing fees already paid. Should you need to cancel within 14 days, but at least 48 hours from your tour, we can offer a date exchange to any available date. Cancellations within 48 hours incur a 100% cancellation fee as our our vendor partners have already begun preparing your experience.

During Your Experience

The starting location of your tours will be sent to you in your confirmation email with detailed instructions of how to find us. All our experiences start and end in the Cape Town city bowl, central to all major hotels.

Absolutely not! Our tours intertwine Cape Town’s stories with its culinary traditions, blending architectural commentary, historical facts, local culture, and culinary insights. Imagine walking through Cape Town eating our local artisans’ most delicious foods while learning the neighbourhoods from real locals. Let us show you how easy it is to fall in love with Cape Town!

Cape Town has paid street parking available in all tour locations. We recommend using local transport like Uber or walking to our meeting points. If desired, we can arrange round-trip transfers from your hotel – select this option when buying tickets.

Our experiences proceed rain or shine. In severe weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. However, we recommend checking the weather conditions for the day of your tour and dress accordingly.  If we believe the weather will significantly jeopardize the quality of your experience, we will offer you plenty of notice in the event of a cancellation.

Yes, restrooms are available at all tour stops and your guide will be sure to point them out along the way.

We take care of the gratuities for our vendors so you can enjoy your time on your culinary experience without reaching for your pocketbook. If you find you’ve had an extraordinary time, gratuities for your tour guide are appreciated but not obligatory. The standard gratuity in the South African service industry is 15%-20%.

Due to the old cobblestone streets and several stairs along the way, our tours are unfortunately not wheelchair-friendly at this time. Strollers can be accommodated but will need to be lifted up and down several short flights of stairs.

Please wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a small bottle of water if you like. The sun in Cape Town tends to shine bright, so sunscreen is definetely recommended. Be sure to prepare for the weather, it can change quickly! If it looks like rain, feel free to bring along an umbrella. Otherwise, we’ll take care of you every step of the way!
